Nathan is 5!

Growing up my parents couldn't afford to give us a lot. But my mom had a way of making us feel practically like royalty on our birthdays. She would do little things like make us our favorite meals, spend extra time with us...things that weren't everyday.
I admire my mom for that and appreciate her for instilling that kind of *specialness* association to birthdays.
Making cool looking cakes has become my way of saying "Happy Birthday, It's YOUR special DAY!"
This year for my sons birthday he got an airplane cake. He has said in the past that one day he is going to make and fly real airplanes ;)

So I had some material left over from Emilie's pajamas and decided to test my talents further and make a nightgown for one of Emilie's dolls. I think it turned out good too.
