Cup cakes, Cakes, and parties

Everyone loves cake...right? Okay maybe not everyone, but my kids do and we love throwing parties to have cake, or so it seems ;)

This cake was made for a friend, found the idea online.

I wanted to try making a map of the 100 Acre Woods for my son's first birthday. It could use some improvement but I think it turned out alright.

This cake I thought was a fun idea. I saw a pic of it online done by someone else and thought I would try to duplicate it for my friend's birthday. The black keys are kit-kat bars. The rest of the decor was done with melting chocolate.

I love my girls and they love their dolls (especially Lydia - she will bring a doll with her about everywhere, read to it, tuck it in, and even draw pictures for her). So it only stands to reason that we would have to celebrate their birthday too, right :)

Here is my other daughter on her dolls birthday, I thought cupcakes would do rather than a huge cake.
